SWEET REPOSE is made into a rectangular pillow by adding a panel of complementing fabric on each side of the embroidered panel.

Crewel embroidery lends itself beautifully to inventive stitchery. SWEET REPOSE was inspired by the fabulous flowers and foliage often seen in historical embroideries. To achieve a fresh, modern look, Anna Scott stitched the design using colour palette of crisp pinks and greens with a little splash of sunshine yellow.
Sweet Repose is stitched onto Italian linen, using 20 different embroidery stitches and stitch combinations to create textures and patterns within the design.
The detailed instructions and diagrams will help guide you step by step through the project however, you might find it helpful to have a stitch directory at hand
