Meadow Bloom is a great project if are familiar with basic embroidery stitches and want to further develop your skills and get to know a wide variety of stitches.
Traditional Jacobean crewel work is a feast of exotic flowers and fanciful foliage - which is what I really love. Meadow Bloom was largely inspired by a beautiful piece of fabric given to me by a friend. The colour scheme, twirling stems and fantastical flowers, were perfect for creating a piece of crewel embroidery.
