Magnetic Enamel Needle Minder by Avlea - Daphni

My "Byzantine Motifs" series of needleminders is inspired by the tiny decorations and ornamentations found in Byzantine manuscripts and iconography. These lovely motifs are tiny works of art! Needleminders are terrific for not just holding your needle when not in use, but for securing your fabric as you stitch, or holding your pattern to your frame. They can even be worn as a beautiful magnet pin!

Although the original decorative motif that inspired this design is from an illuminated manuscript, the circle of laurel leaves (daphni in Greek) is a motif found throughout the Classical world.  Its graceful design glows from a celadon background.
