Venetian Coins Cross Stitch Kit by Avlea Folk Embroidery.
The Venetian Coins cross stitch folk embroidery kit is inspired by the repeating geometric designs found on coins minted throughout the medieval world, many of them featuring cross motifs that traveled across cultures and centuries. Worked in pewter grey and golden olive to mimic the metals from which those coins were cast, the finished piece has a lovely gravitas that is delightfully different from the floral folk embroidery tradition. This was one of my very first allover designs when I was learning how to take photos and that lemon and olive branch still makes me so happy!

- DMC 6-strand embroidery floss
- John James size 24 cross stitch needle
- Full colour chart and instructions

Please note: the drawn thread hem finishing shown in the photos has to be done after the design is stitched; the fabric in your kit will come with the raw edges serged so they don't unravel while you are stitching.
