Description
Bald Eagle is a cross stitch pattern.
The Bald Eagle is a large Sea Eagle, Haliaetus leucocephalus, also known as the American Eagle. It is the national emblem of the United States and an endangered species.
The Bald Eagle is dark brown with a white head and tail and has a prominent curved beak and unfeathered legs. It feeds on carrion and fish and has rough skin on the toes for grasping slippery prey. It is not really bald, but its head is white, as is its tail.
The Bald Eagle has a wing span of seven to eight feet (200-250cm). It can soar high into the sky and glide on wind currents without beating its wings.
The Eagle family contains some of the most powerful of all living birds.
