Joyous Dawn embroidery design measures 10cm x 14cm wide (4" x 5 1/2").

This project uses some of the basic goldwork techniques and is ideal if you have little or no experience in metal thread embroidery.
The design is embroidered with a variety of metal threads, kid leather, spangles and beads with fine silks for added colour.

YOU WILL ALSO NEED
* 25cm (10") good quality embroidery hoop, both rings bound
* Good quality beeswax
* Goldwork scissors OR old sharp pointed scissor (don't ruin your good pair cutting metal)
* Pointed tweezers
* Weight or clamp
* Sharp lead pencil
Also helpful but not essential:
* Velvet covered board
* Dressmaker’s awl or mellor
The detailed instructions and diagrams will help guide you but you may find it handy to have a good stitch directory at hand.
