DMC collaborated with the National Gallery to design a series of limited edition cross stitch kits. The paintings are faithfully reproduced in DMC's vivid palette of stranded cotton threads.
Whistlejacket is an oil painting of a horse by George Stubbs between, painted 1761 and 1762. It shows the race horse belonging to the Marquess of Rockingham. George Stubbs, born in 1724 in Liverpool, is an English painter of animals from the 18th century. Nicknamed ""the horse painter"", Stubbs is a much appreciated for his sense of observation and detail.
