Reproduction Sampler Pattern

We did take a few liberties with Mary Ann's (created when she was 11 years old) sometimes erratic border, but for the most part, our model (and the main chart of Mary Ann's sampler) replicated the original, featuring the wonky house, over-one verse and swan with it mouth open.

Although Mary Ann didn't date her sampler, its characteristics indicate a date sometime in the early to mid 19th century.

Model stitched on 14ct Aida stitched over two threads.

Classic Colorworks Threads Used - Blackbird, Ruby Sleepers, Tea and Biscuits, Colonial Copper, Raxxleberry, Cayenne, Stormy Night, Jake Brown, Almost Auburn, Ye Olde Gold, Sticks and Twigs, Pine Needles.
