This design is taken from a vintage Ukrainian scarf from the 1970s and is a glorious example of the intricacy and vibrancy of folk embroidery of Ukraine. It features a wealth of motifs—from diamonds to scrolls to arches—and is worked in a traditional colour palette of red and black accented with peaock blue, rich gold, and bright green. Shown worked as a cushion cover, it can also be used for a table runner or icon scarf.
