Description

It's a gorgeous summer day. Tiny sailboats move in the distance, where the sea merges into the sky.

She stands on the shore, closing her eyes and listening to the waves.

Still with her eyes closed, she focuses on every one of her senses. She feels the sun, the warm sand.

Her mind wanders as she seems to merge into the deep blue sea.

Here is Barbara Ana's beautiful portrait of her Dreaming Girl on a summer day. The layout of the design is particularly creative, the girl's mane of hair shaping into a mermaid's tail, merging with waves swirling upwards, as if the whole seascape were upside down.

The cross stitch pattern features bright and cheerful colours evocative of a warm and sunny summer day.

Sailing Dreams was stitched on 32 count Chestnut Linen by Permin using two strand of DMC over two threads of linen.

Stitch count is 88w x 110h.
