Au Ver à Soie Soie Gobelins made of 2 strongly twisted strands made from pure silk, it is perfect for all uses in the field of needlework. It is comparable in thickness to one strand of DMC Stranded Cotton but has a "tighter twist and is smoother to work with when passing through the fabric" (Mary Corbet - Needle'nThread)
Gobelins is made of the best qualitiy raw silk which give it an unrivaled brightness and softness. Au Ver a Soie thread resists snarling, abrasion and has good tensile strength.
