Chenille

This silk chenille thread is made specifically for hand embroidery. The word chenille in French literally translated means "caterpillar", which precisely describes the appearance of this thread. In other words, the little fibers of silk stand out at right angles, like the hairs of a caterpillar. It can be sewn or couched down. Soie Chenille will add interest to any needlework project. It comes in 5m lengths and the colour numbers match that of the Au Ver a Soie D'Alger range.
