Au Ver a Soie, Soie 100/3 is a single ply highly twisted spun silk. It is made of the best quality spun silk (called strusas) which gives it an unrivalled regularity, sheen and softness. It has good tensile strength and has many applications including cross stitch, needlepoint, embroidery, hardanger, lace making, blackwork, ribbon embroidery, machine, and hand quilting. Soie 100/3 colours are identical to Au Ver a Soie Perlee but different to the d’Alger colours. The thread thickness is slightly finer than a single ply of Soie d’alger.
